HMEO – Water Department

Duties :    Under the direction of the Public Works Director, Water Supt. and/or his designee, operates heavy equipment such as backhoe, front end loader, dump truck and other similar equipment; knowledge of and use of hand tools in the digging of ditches and other related water works duties for repairs; and performs related work as required.

Requirements:    

1.   High School Graduate or GED Equivalent

2.   Must have a Class B Massachusetts Commercial Driver’s License with Air Brake.

3.   Must have a Mass Dept of Safety Hoisting License 1C ,2A.

4.    Must have 1 year experience in operation of heavy equipment or equivalency in schooling.

• Substitutions for requirements will be at the discretion of the Director of Public Works.
• Must be able to respond to DWP Emergencies.
• **If not in possession of Grade 2 Distribution License, applicant will have one year from date of appointment to obtain.
