Happening this Month
In recognition of Black History Month the Town is hosting Muqeedah Salaam on February 22nd at 6:00PM in the Town Hall Auditorium for a lecture on Black Scientists and Inventors and their contributions to society. Muqeedah Salaam has an impressive background as a teacher lecturer and historian, with over 40 years experience. Her work is recognized as a first-rate model in teaching African American History.
We hope you can join us on February 22nd at 6:00PM in the Town Hall Auditorium for this experience.
Nomination Papers
This year Spring Town Meeting is on May 7th! The Town has over 50+ Town Meeting openings. The last day to pull papers to run for a seat in your precinct is February 20th. You need 10 valid signatures from registered voters in your precinct. Take a look above for a better idea on the role Town Meeting plays!

FY2025 Budget
At the Select Board meeting on March 4th the Town Manager will be presenting the FY2025 Budget to the Board. This is a great opportunity for a first look and to understand the story behind the budget.

Paving Schedule
The Town is pleased to share our 2024 Paving & Pavement Preservation Road List for this season’s work that will run from approximately April 15 to November 15, 2024. All abutters will be contacted directly and will be provided additional details regarding the specific work on their street in the coming months.

Trash Collection
Waste Management WILL BE collecting Trash and Recycle on the Normal Monday to Friday schedule the week of February 19-23, 2024 as they DO NOT observe the Presidents Day holiday in Billerica.
Public Safety
Meet our new Deputy Chief
The Town is pleased to announce the promotion of Glen Magnan to the position of Deputy Chief in the Billerica Police Department. Deputy Magnan is a 23-year veteran of the BPD, and a familiar face to many in the community. We thank him for his commitment and service to the Town. Be sure to Congratulate Deputy Magnan if you see him around!
